The Trepets © Publishers Comment:"The Trepets" is a wonderful book for children, aimed at an independent reading age of between 5 and 8, although the ecology message and light-hearted fun, make it great reading for anyone aged 3 to 93! The format of the book is also novel, as the text is written within an oval cartouche shape on the page with two little black and white line drawings of wildlife, berries, mushrooms, etc, so that it also encourages children to have a really fun reading experience. We first serialised the stories in a review, and they caught children's imagination. They used to come in asking if the Oak Tree really existed, and if The Trepets were really real! The Trepets take care of nature, and as children often mimic what they are reading, it will encourage children to really "see" the natural world around them and to take care of it. Something, we would all benefit from, as well as the precious planet we live on.
"I am passionate about saving hedgerows, orchards and many other things of nature that I feel are endangered. I also love children and feel that if their interest and imagination can be caught at an early age, they, hopefully, will grow with love in their hearts and lives for everything around them, including each other. The Trepets live in a tree full of happiness and spend a lot of their time, protecting the wildlife, flowers and trees that surround them. I feel that young people should have, as far as possible, a carefree childhood, and be able to escape at times into another world, in this case in my world of The Trepets."
